Ricky Stanicky is about three childhood friends Dean, JT and Wes, who cause an accident during a Halloween party and to stay out of trouble, they make up a fake person who would have caused the accident. This Is Ricky Stanicky and the boys manage to stay out of trouble. 

This is how their best non-existent friend was born. The three friends keep using their best non-existent friend as a kind of free card in their lives. However, when the gentlemen get into trouble again during the birth of JT's son, they need Ricky Stanicky again. Dean comes up with a bold solution to make Ricky Stanicky a real person. Ricky Stanicky is made official when the three friends hire an actor they met during one of their party nights. 

The new best friend of the three childhood friends is born and the new friend does everything to stay in role which creates more lies and awkward situations, yet Ricky Stanicky manages to get the job done. 

But when Ricky Stanicky decides to stay, the situation gets out of control and the relationship between Dean and his girlfriend gets into trouble. ‘
